SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
10:00 a.m. Opening Ceremony with renowned aviator keynote speaker, service flyovers and ceremonial military pageant at Summerall Field
8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Centennial Open House
with scheduled activities throughout Fort Myer
Exhixhibits include:
- 1908 Wright Fort Myer Flyer reproduction and simulators by the Discovery of Flight Foundation & the Wright Experience
- Services aviation displays experience the historic to the future in aviation
- National Air and Space Museum exhibits
- College Park Aviation Museum exhibits
- Musical performances
- Concessions and souvenirs
- 1908 historic re-enactors portraying flight trials personalities, including Orville Wright, Lt. Frank Lahm and Alice Roosevelt Longworth
HOW TO GET TO FORT MYER FOR THE CENTENNIAL
Parking at Pentagon North Parking (Boundary Channel Dr. at Washington Blvd.) with shuttles to and from Fort Myer. There is no parking at Fort Myer
Shuttle Service also from Fort Myer's Wright Gate (North Meade St. at Marshall Dr.) for walk-in traffic from Rosslyn
