DISCOVERY OF FLIGHT NEWS! The Discovery of Flight Foundation partners with Museum of Flight on Acquisition of reproduction 1903 Flyer!
SEATTLE, March 20, 2005 - The Discovery of Flight Foundation announces that it has contributed to the acquisition of a reproduction 1903 Flyer by the Museum of Flight, Seattle Washington. Present for the announcement were Orville and Wilbur Wright's great-grandniece (and Discovery of Flight Board member) Janette Yoerg, and her son Keith Yoerg, a great-great-grandnephew of the famous brothers. The aircraft, which was purchased from the Wright Experience of Warrenton, Va., will join a collection at the Museum that already includes many important and one-of-a-kind Wright-related artifacts.
